My story is very similar to many others; I was born to a military family in October 1975 at Irwin Army Hospital, Fort Riley, Kansas, to mother, Nancy, and father, Clint. My father is a typical workaholic renaissance man who has had many different jobs, careers and personal businesses, (from the Army, to business manager, to entrepreneur), over the years. My mother, on the other hand, is the most steadfast of all of us; she is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and has been in school for or working as such for 30 plus years. I tend to emulate both of them in different ways. I spent my first 30 years bouncing around and doing the renaissance man thing. That bouncing around may not have been your A-typical life plan, but it gave me so much experience and knowledge that I wouldn't change any of it. And, now that I have found my calling and purpose, I know what I'll be doing for the next 30 years.
My childhood was spent like many other Army Brats, moving from place to place every few years. I’ll give you the short version for the sake of time: Kansas, Germany, Texas, Georgia, Germany and Alabama. After graduating High School in northern Alabama, I joined the US Air Force and went back to Texas for basic training and technical school. I became an F-16 Weapons Troop and was stationed at Spangdahlem Airbase, Spangdahlem, Germany.
After the Air Force, I bounced around from job to job for a few years until I moved to Breckenridge, Colorado, where I taught snowboarding and lived the mountain town lifestyle full speed ahead. After about 6 years in that little mountain party town, I made a change and moved 70 miles to the east to Denver, Colorado. It was in Denver that I really began to explore who and what I really am. I learned that I am an Indigo adult and a natural healer. As a result, I’ve studied Reiki, Aura Clearings, Chakra Balancing and other types of hands on healing. I also developed my innate psychic abilities at the Inner Insight Institute, which was modeled after the Berkeley Psychic Institute in Berkeley, California.
It was during my first Metaphysical Faire that I was introduced to the notion of Indigos and that I might be a part of that group. Here is a description of Indigos so that you may understand what this means to me and other Indigos.
Indigos
They have very unique characteristics that set them apart from previous generations. The name itself indicates the Life Color they carry in their auras and is indicative of the Third Eye Chakra, which represents intuition and psychic ability. As children these are usually the ones who are often rebellious to authority, nonconformist, extremely emotionally and sometimes physically sensitive or fragile, highly talented or academically gifted and often metaphysically gifted as well, usually intuitive, very often labeled ADD, either very empathic and compassionate OR very cold and callous, and are wise beyond their years. Indigos have come into this world with difficult challenges to overcome. Their extreme levels of sensitivity are hard to understand and appreciate by parents who don't share this trait. The Indigos are the ones who have come to raise the vibration of our planet! These are the primary ones who will bring us the enlightenment to ascend. Wendy H. Chapman
It was with this description and through my continued study of Indigo, Crystal, and Rainbow Children that I began to really understand myself, and began to appreciate my true calling. As I looked back over my life and talked with my parents about my childhood, it became even more clearly evident that I am an Indigo. I am here as a guide, a teacher, and a healer. I am here to, once again, speak my truth and to help as many people as possible remember who they truly are.
More and more people are ready to remember that they are not defined by their bodies or this life. More people everyday are beginning to remember, on their own, that they are more; that they are powerful spiritual beings who have bravely come forth to this physical realm to create through their thoughts and actions. We are the creators. It takes one of us to take information from the universe and bring it into physical reality. In our natural spiritual forms we cannot create. We may know all things, but we cannot create any of it, which is why we are here; To Create!
How does that relates to being an Indigo, and what does that mean to you. Well, let’s just say that what I know I didn’t get from any text book or online college course. I have what I like to call “an open connection” to Source, which means I get my information directly from my guides, angels, ancestors, the Source, God, or whatever you would like to call it.
I do not claim absolute knowledge or pretend to be a guide to the new millennium. I am only a thinker of different thoughts and holder of a different perspective, just like many of you, and have found them to be very beneficial to me throughout my life. It is these thoughts and points of view I share with you here, in hopes to inspire, perhaps enrage, but always make you think and grow.
